Slack notifications

Now that our team has moved to LiteTracker, one big problem we find is the lack of Slack notifications. We get notifications via email, but many of our team members only look at email once a day or even less. So activity is not being noticed. We sometimes Slack message owners manually but this is often forgotten—and really our tools should take care of it automatically. We find it’s slowing our velocity because testing is delayed unnecessarily.

Our request is:

• When a story is started/delivered/rejected/etc, the status change is announced in a configurable slack channel and looks something like this:

  • [MyProject] Started: Example story title

  • where “example story title” is a link to the story.

• When someone comments on a story, there is a Slack message like:

  • [MyProject] Comment: Example story title — Joe Strummer (@joes) said, “This is such a great feature! You are such amazing engineers!”
